  • Domenico Ricucci
    Editor-in-Chief
    Dr. Domenico Ricucci received his degree in General Medicine from "La Sapienza" University of Rome in 1982, and his DDS from the same University in 1985. Since then on he has maintained private dental practices limited to endodontics. He served in the Research Committee of the European Society of Endodontology from 1999 to 2005. Since 1998 he has run his own histology laboratory and his primary research interest relates to pulpal and periapical tissue reactions to caries and treatment procedures, biofilms in endodontic infections, etiology of RTC treatment failure, pulp regeneration / revascularization.
  • José F. Siqueira Jr.

    Dr. Siqueira is the chair of endodontics, director of the postgraduate program in endodontics, and head of the molecular microbiology laboratory at Iguaçu University, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He is also professor of the postgraduate program in endodontics at Grande Rio University, also in Rio de Janeiro. Dr. Siqueira has authored several books on endodontics and microbiology, several chapters for leading international endodontic textbooks and more than 430 scientific papers. His primary research interests are in the areas of endodontic microbiology and infection control.

    Professor Emeritus (Endodontics) at UBC, Vancouver, Canada. Member of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (endod.), Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, Associate member of AAE. Dr. Haapasalo has authored or co-authored over 250 scientific peer reviewed articles and written chapters in several international endodontic textbooks. In endodontics, his areas of special interest include biofilms, irrigation, persistent infections, resorptions and instrumentation. His research laboratory has trained tens of scientists from all over the world.

    Dr. Tay is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. He is currently Chairman and Professor of the Department of Endodontics, The Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University, Georgia, USA. Dr. Tay is a member of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. He serves as Associate Editors for the Journal of Endodontics and Journal of Dentistry. His research interests include collagen biomineralization, remineralization of resin-dentin bonds, antimicrobial sol-gel chemistry, mesoporous silica and endodontic materials. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Dental Materials and has published more than 600 papers in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Tay’s current H-index is 105.
  • Isabela Rôças

    Dr. Rôças is currently Professor of the PostGraduate Program in Endodontics and head of the Molecular Microbiology laboratory, Grande Rio University, in Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil, and also Professor of the PostGraduate Program in Dentistry, Iguaçu University, also in Rio de Janeiro. Her H-index, which measures both the productivity and impact of the published work of a scientist, is 65. Dr. Rôças´ primary research interests are in the fields of endodontic microbiology and infection control. Ongoing research from her lab includes studies on diversity of the endodontic microbiota using molecular techniques, control of biofilm infections, and disease modifiers of apical periodontitis.

USA 1993, Recipient of the Samuel Seltzer award from the Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology and Endodontics Journal in 2005. Scientific advisory Board member for the Journal of Endodontics and International Endodontic Journal.

    Dr. Meetu Ralli Kohli is Clinical Associate Professor and Director for Continuing Education and International Visiting Scholar Program at the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine, Endodontic department. She is a member of the Dean’s advisory council, School of Dental Medicine, UPENN. She is on the Scientific Advisory Board as a reviewer for Journal of Endodontics and International Endodontic Journal. Dr. Kohli has published in national and international peer reviewed journals and has contributed in books on microsurgical retreatment.
  • Flávio Alves

    Professor Flávio Alves received his DDS, endodontic certificate, and master’s degree from Estácio de Sá University, Rio de Janeiro, in 1999, 2002, and 2004, respectively. He completed his Ph.D. in Microbiology and Immunology at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro in 2008. Dr. Alves served as the General Coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Dentistry at the University of Grande Rio (Master’s and Doctorate, 2020-2024). He is currently a professor in this program as well as in another at Iguaçu University. He has published over 150 articles in Endodontics, and has an H-index of 34 (SCOPUS).
